Monitor Stand or Desk Shelf DIY. A simple and cheap to build monitor stand riser for your computer desk. Made for my Apple M1 iMac. Not much more than $10 Canadian, in my case.
This video is a continuation of my office/studio/computer desk makeover.
Buying these stands can get pretty pricey, particularly when choosing walnut or similar wood species. I chose Pine for the top and a reclaimed scrap of Oak for these simple legs. (At onetime a tabletop). But you could use practically anything. I sized mine based on my Apple M1 iMac and external drives, and a place for plants of course.
Woodworking doesn't get much simpler, and doesn't need to be as complicated as my take on the Monitor Stand or Desk Shelf. I realize not everyone has 'all the tools'. You could simply screw and plug the holes when attaching the legs, or just glue and nail for that matter. Just make sure it's strong! Hopefully it inspires you to make something similar.
