From politicians to actors, their convincing speech showcases the power of generative AI to disrupt the largest election season in history. Since the inception of ChatGPT, Artificial Intelligence has garnered interest and attention, yet also raised concerns about deepfake technology, presenting new challenges for Indian voters. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has from time to time urged social media to label and remove AI-generated fake content. Additionally, the Election Commission of India has instructed parties to swiftly remove fake content and cautioned against the use of deepfake tools. With AI's potential to sway opinions, voter manipulation is a major worry.
