Rarity in color:

1. It takes between 105 to 125 carats rough crystal to produce a 50 carats polished round diamond .

2. There are only an hand full of strong color, vs quality, 100 carats every year to yield a type diamond like the 50 FIY like this.

3. There hasn't been a 50 carat round brilliant, Fancy intense yellow in any auction for past 10 years (rare).

4. The GIA is extremely difficult to give the grade of FIY to a round diamond.

5. The Round Brilliant shape is the rarest shape in which a cutter can encroached enough color to receive a grade of FANCY . The reason is that the round brilliant diminish the saturation of color and therefore once must have 3 to 4 more strength of color to have a strong face up experience.
