In the summer of 2021, Churchill Downs announced they were selling their horse racing track in Arlington Heights, providing the Chicago Bears an unparelled opportunity to escape the control of Mayor Lori Lightfoot who had been espcially unbearable during the pandemic. The team immediatly submitted a bid and began a process to develop a new enclosed stadium and mixed use district to serve as the franchises new home. Finally breaking free from Soldier Field, which they had never been satisfied with from the start. From George Halas, Michael McCaskey, Ted Phillips, Virginia McCaskey, Kevin Warren (who has experience building the Vikings Stadium), and beyond, we'll discover all the gripes the Bears have with the stadium from pre-renovation days to now. Join me in this video as we discover why ALMOST nothing will keep the Bears from leaving the declining Soldier Field.
