Hey folks, thanks for tuning in as always!

In todays video we're looking back at our visit to Matsubara Hamono in April of 2023. This visit was a blast and included possibly my favorite meal of the trip. It was in an older house that was converted into a restaurant with zashiki style seating. I didn't get any footage of the meal but it started with sashimi and had many other courses including shabu shabu, noodle dishes, and the best match ice cream I've ever eaten served as a final course. I always thought I didn't like matcha flavour things in Canada because they we're always bitter but in Japan it was deep and rich and toasty. We headed back to the shop for a forging and then sharpening demo before checking out the log cabin gift shop.

Like we said in the video we got the chance to buy some knives while we we're there which was a super pleasant surprise and they should be here in a couple of days ready to get handled and put up on the site so sit tight for that!
