Lost in the dark in Eduardo Avaroa National Park. Chad and Rose fight their way across the deep sands of Laguna Colorada to a remote shelter for the night. Undeterred by their injuries, they elect to press on in search of some popular hot springs, where they soon discover they are "second class citizens" among the throngs of organized tours...

Electing to cut their losses, they decide to flee the Lagunas Route, only to discover that the "last chance for gas" is bone dry, due to a local protest blocking the highway.
