Ascochyta Leaf Blight is a common turf disease that we see every year during late Spring & throughout the Summer on lawns across the US. Often confused for symptoms of drought or even fertilizer burn, Ascochyta can be identified by the way the grass blades at the edge of affected patches begin to bleach and wilt from the top down. Because this fungal disease can spread, it is recommended that homeowners do not mow or run any equipment over areas affected to avoid the spread of the disease across their lawn. Due to how it can spread via lawn mowers or wheelbarrows, Ascochyta will often show up with evident tracks in areas that came into contact with the tire.
