In the 1940’s bebop was born. It was a time for daring innovation and Dizzy Gillespie introduced Afro-Cuban rhythms into American jazz. Music would never be the same. Forty years later, Dizzy visited Cuba, the wellspring of his inspiration. This film is a celebration of that trip and of Dizzy’s music.
