عن معاذ بن جبل أن رسول صلى عليه وسلم أخذ بيده، وقال: «يا معاذ، والله إني لأحبك، والله إني لأحبك»، فقال: أوصيك يا معاذ، لا تدعن في دبر كل صلاة تقول: اللهم أعني على ذكرك، وشكرك، وحسن عبادتك. رواه أبو داود وغيره, صحيح

It was reported from Mu’adh bin Jabal (ra) that the Messenger of Allah took hold of his hand and said ‘O Mu’adh, by Allah I love you, by Allah I love you’. Then he said, I’m advising you Mu’adh not to miss out saying [the following] at the end of every Salah: O Allah help me to remember you, to thank you and to worship you excellently’. Narrated by Abu Dawud and others, graded authentic.
