Have you ever noticed an outdoor refrigerator in your neighbourhood?Community refrigerators supply fresh food that can be accessed 24/7 to people who need it. They help fill the gap where more formal food sharing services may fall behind. In addition to food banks, they have become a lifeline during the affordability crisis in most Ontario cities.

In season one (see related video), Nam Kiwanuka spoke to Kamil, a volunteer organizer for Community Fridge Kitchener, about this grassroot initiative that helps improve access to fresh food.
