This is the new Hankook Ion S EV tyre including foam sound insulation - now available for 18” wheel size that most Tesla Model 3’s are fitted with (standard range and long range).

We were given a set by Hankook to try but with instruction to say whatever we want about them and be honest.

Looking at the data now it would suggest the noise levels are good and the grip actually better than the Michelin Pilot Sports. However always hard to test when on different days in different conditions.
I’ve been forthcoming that none of this can be the most scientific of tests!! But a good opportunity to share some opinion using a car we know very well.

Economy - good
Grip - excellent
Noise - good
Price - sensible

These are pretty damn good and most likely found to be cheaper than Michelins so a good viable alternative one would suggest.

And don’t forget that Hankook are the standard OEM fitment to all the 19” Tesla 3 and Y (and BMW i4) wheels already. They are premium tyres!
