Many around the Destiny 2 community are disappointed with this community event to rebuild the Eliksni Quarter. It sounded good in theory but all around the rewards and event are lack luster.
But there is a potential to save the rewards/gift boxes for a head start on new craftable weapons for next season or even Lightfall - if you’re crazy enough to have inventory space taken up for that long.

Here is an easy way to get a handful of the gift boxes to test our this theory. But do know that Bungie could remove them from our inventory at the end of the season, so save them at your own RISK.
