Robert Moses was an unelected official who took control of the city and state governments of New York. His rise to power is unlike most politicians as he manipulated the inner workings of the government to climb his way to the top. Moses revolutionized the American City, he would construct hundreds of miles of expressways, bridges, and parkways. In his 40 year career, his power became unmatched and was that of a dictator.
