This virtual talk was a prep for our annual Bat Walk, a clean up and creek walk at the Rillito River, under the Campbell Ave bridge. Francesca Claverie, Native Plant Director at Borderlands Restoration Network and co-manager of the Native Plant Materials Program, based in Patagonia, Arizona presented all about the diversity of bats of the borderlands, including nectar feeders that migrate from Mexico to the southern US and the Sonoran vampire bats!

*This event was organized through WMG’s River Run Network (RRN). Members work together to learn about and steward our creeks and rivers through creek walks, restoration activities, river clean-ups, and educational workshops. If you are not yet a member, join any upcoming RRN event. Membership is free and includes a regular e-newsletter with upcoming events.
