Sadie and I got up roughly 4 hours earlier than normal to watch the sun rise over the river. Though, a combination of still not getting up early enough and not biking fast enough had us watching the sun rise over the highway instead... It was still a fantastic morning bike ride on our gravel bikes. We got to explore the Gateway Green Bike park and Pump Track here in NE Portland before continuing onto one of the many bike paths the neighborhood offers. We both rode our gravel bikes, fully kitted out with fenders for the winter. I was on the Trek Checkpoint ALR 5 while sadie rode her custom build Surly Straggler.
