The U.S. Senate is expected to vote Tuesday on a piece of legislation that could lead to a ban on TikTok in the United States.

"Tiktok has literally changed my life, and that's not an understatement," said Harini Baht.

Baht grew up in San Diego and uses the platform to teach people about science.

"As soon as I started to post videos it was like this unleashing of creativity and freedom to express myself," she said.

She now has about 603,000 followers and uses the platform as her main source of income.
