BIG NEWS! Oskar (main developer for Vanilla Expanded Mods) and his team (other prominent Rimworld modders 'Roolo' and 'Smash Phil') are making a game! It's called "Cursed Crew" and is a really interesting take on a naval-roguelike where your crew gets more cursed as they keep going. But hey, don't take my word for it.
