The old bulb would have cost me $443 a year to run 8 hrs a night. Except there are two, so that is $886 a year in electricity at California prices of 31 cents/kw. That is a ton of power. I upgraded both bulbs to LED and it outputs 67% more light (300 lux each) and now cost me $72 a year for both bulbs to run each night for 8hrs on the timer. HUGE cost savings. I didn't even turn the old lights on before and enjoy the view bc I knew they were too expensive. Super happy with this upgrade.
