So Bungie buffed Onslaught Drops. Is it worth to run Level 50 Legends now, or are Wave 10 farms still ideal?
Wave 10 farms take on average 11 minutes including load zones to complete one full cycle, with the rewards being 2 weapons, and at most 5 tokens. This means in 1 hour, you can earn 10 weapons and 25 tokens, meaning you’re getting 12.25 weapons per hour.
Wave 50 farms take a lot longer. If you’re casually farming it, I would say it takes around 55 - 60 minutes. For simplicity, let’s say it takes you exactly 1 hour for a Wave 50. Doing an entire run of Onslaught will yield you about 40 tokens, and 14 weapon drops, meaning in one hour you’re getting approximately 18 weapon drops. Bungie buffed the token drops from Wave 30, 40 and 50 earlier this week, and on Wave 30 you get 6 tokens, on Wave 40 you get 8 tokens, and on Wave 50 you get 15 tokens. This means that if you are able to comfortably farm Wave 50s, those are without a doubt the best thing to farm.
If you aren’t able to do Wave 50s, let’s look at Wave 30s. Wave 30s would take approximately 30 minutes to complete, and you’re guaranteed 6 weapon drops and about 15 tokens, meaning you’re getting 7 weapons every run, and in an hour you’d be getting approximately 15 weapon drops. This means that while Level 50 is the most ideal, if you are not with a team that is comfortable farming Level 50s, just going to 30 is going to be more beneficial than constantly resetting Wave 10, especially due to the load times.
