This week, I'm taking my axolotl Kirby to the vet. After Kirby's recurrent fungal infection, I wanted to get him the best help possible . A huge shout out to Chicago Exotics Animal Hospital for their knowledge of axolotls and amazing care!

Kirby the axolotl was a rescue axolotl from a local pet store. When I found him he was in terrible shape, not eating and had lost almost all the characteristics of an axolotl! I wasn't sure if he was going to make it. After a few weeks of care Kirby has been on the mend. However, axolotls in this state are prone to infection. Kirby has fought off a fungal infection but I want to make sure he is getting the best possible axolotl care. Chicago Exotics Animal Hospital were incredibly knowledgeable. Kirby has received the best treatment and is responding incredibly well to his Axolotl antibiotics. Stay posted for more!
