This is one of my favourite gaming phones right now, boasting enough grunt from the Snapdragon 888 chipset to run the most demanding Android titles. Overheating isn't an issue, despite the back end getting rather toasty. You have physical trigger buttons, as well as plenty of other nifty features tucked away in the Game Centre.

Battery life isn't fantastic, as usual with gamer smartphones - although the Black Shark 4 Pro dies quite quick compared with some rivals as that 4500mAh cell is quite low capacity. You also have a selfie orifice in the mighty Super AMOLED screen, which is peculiar. But it doesn't intrude much on the action, and the detail levels are solid.
