I've used dozens of Nikon SLR and DSLR cameras and never had any of the screens damaged, until the LCD screen on the back of my Nikon Z7II got scuffed when I had the camera slung on my shoulder and the LCD rubbed against the brass rivet of a pair of blue jeans. That scuff mark was the only blemish on an otherwise perfect condition camera so I decided to try adding screen protectors to all my cameras.

You will notice there are a couple of small stickers included in the kit that I didn't use. The instructions included with the kit made no mention of the small stickers, but I have since learned that they are intended to be used as 'hinges' to help install the screen protectors. To be honest, I don't think they would have been that helpful anyway.

I am in on way associated with the company that makes the screen protectors used in this video, I'm just impressed with their design and function.
