After a little boy runs into a fire station in New York City, all the firefighters stop and watch with bated breath. They know who the child is, because they’ve already met him once after putting out a fire. He loves firefighters, and always cheers when he hears the sirens of their trucks around town. When he moves towards a particular firefighter, they all think they know what is happening, until he hands him a note that causes him to tear up upon reading it. This time, there’s no room for joy in the firefighters’ hearts. However, they can still do something to make this challenging time happier for the little boy.
