I mounted a 4.5Nm 640 oz Closed Loop stepper to the X axes on the PM-940 CNC milling machine. It is replacing the 900 oz standard steppers.
The first test went well and it looks to make a bit more power than the 900 oz standard stepper.
I'm running 60VAC. The driver will go to 80 VAC and 70 works well and the 640oz does not get too hot at that voltage.


I really don't see the need for the 9Nm-1200 oz for the X and Y unless you already have some or have a special need for over 1000 pounds of table moving force.


I'm going to change the website to have the 640oz/4.5Nm as standard with a 1200 oz/9Nm for the Z. A 70V transformer with a 500VA rating is good.
