In today's video bushel Billy stops in to the office and we go look at some corn. We walked through a field with several different seed varieties and determine that we will have a pretty decent corn crop. We then swing over to a bean field and check those out and realize that our beans will be decent but not excellent. It would appear that a combination of early season stress and lower soybean populations contributed to us missing out on some yield. And after Bill leaves I go over to the hoop barn to help dad do some work on the Gleaner combine. We are also in the process of cleaning out the first 1038 challenger that we had gotten from AGCO. This was the lease tractor in the lease is up so it's time to send it back. Dr. Watson with Agleader is down to help us put the GPS system that was in the 1038 challenger into the new 1038 Fendt tractor. While he is doing that we put the duels back on the other 1038 that is hooked up to the green cart and it is now ready for harvest. Dr. Watson stays late and eventually gets the Fendt tractor finish and it's also ready. Unfortunately we started this day with high expectations of beginning harvest 2022 and that did not happen. Tomorrow looks promising and I do believe that will be the first day of harvest 2022.
