Wrestling Bios Presents – “The Story of Sting in WWE”

When the man called Sting walked into a WWE arena in 2014, it felt like the final piece of the WCW puzzle had finally arrived in Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Entertainment. The most popular and loyal superstar of WCW during the 90s had always said he wouldn’t jump to the WWF / WWE due not knowing how Vince McMahon would use the Sting character, but Steve Borden had a change of heart in 2014. Sting said he always wanted to work at WrestleMania, and Sting would get a chance to perform on the biggest wrestling stage in the United States in 2015.

While the world was clamouring for the dream match of Sting vs The Undertaker, the decision was made to put Triple H in the ring with the former WCW icon. In a decision that many still question to this day, Sting lost his first WWE match against “The King of Kings” at the WWE’s biggest show of the year. Many see this a Vince McMahon still not letting go of his WCW rivalry, and others see this as the WWE trying to prove a point. Still, Sting remained in the company, working 2 more matches on Raw before arriving at Night of Champions 2015. In the main event, Sting would challenge the WWE Champion Seth Rollins. This would also be Sting’s final WWE match (to date).

This video looks at the entire story of WCW’s franchise player finally arriving in the WWE. Topics covered in this video include:
