Hi guys today we're taking a look at a pair of boots used by most branches of the U.S. military from about 1984 to 2004, when they were replaced by tan, non leather boots. Also during this time jungle boots were still being worn. There were some minor changes introduced over the years in these boots including the heel eventually becoming one rubber piece and the number of speed lacing eyelets changing, however they largely remained the same over their 20 year production period. One of the reasons they were phased out is the uniform regulations called for these to be polished at all times which obviously took a large amount of time out of a soldiers day. Additionally the U.S. Marines called these "Black Cadillacs". I have personally used a pair of these boots for work and find them quite comfortable and well suited for an outdoor environment. Please let me know what you think if you wore a pair while serving or in another context. Thanks for watching.
