In this one, we take a pair of ammonites I bought back in September and prep them! They are very nice specimens of Mamites from Morocco, but were still coated in matrix. Using the Airscribe and my new air eraser, we remove all of the outer matrix and polish one to exposed a beautifully calcified ammonite beneath! This was a very fun project with a very satisfying end result! I always love fossil prep, so if you all would like to see more, make sure to let me know! I have no shortage of specimens that need prep! I hope you all enjoy and I will have another one out very soon!
