The 2022 BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe has had an odd journey. It is the 5-door sedan/sportback version of a 2-door coupe that is based on a 4-door sedan. The result? A sexier roofline combined with a practical cargo area and, of course, a "toothy" grill. This second generation doesn't stray too far from the formula that garnered its success last time around. While we are only taking a look at the oil-burning options today, an all-electric version called the i4 is also coming very soon. Combining the 4 Series Gran Coupe's exterior design with electric propulsion and interior themes from the controversial iX, it should be a fantastic Model 3 competitor.
