Let’s talk about a woman of beauty and noble character, who is at the same time our mother: Zainab, the daughter of Jahsh, may Allah be pleased with her.

Here are some special characteristics about Zainab bint Jahsh:
- She was a relative to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ;
- All of her family members were companions;
- She was extremely beautiful, pious, generous – so much so that she was called the Mother of the Poor!
- She was a business woman!
- She was married to a wonderful companion – Zayd ibn Al-Harith, but they got divorced before she became a wife of the Prophet ﷺ.
- Her marriage to the Prophet ﷺ was the reason of revelation of verses 37 to 40 in surah Al-Ahzaab.
- She was a very just woman!
- She would make a corner in a room dedicated to worship - Salah, Qur’an, etc.
