Georgetown, Washington DC. 17 years after the murder of the Gemini Killer and the fateful night of pure terror in The Exorcist (1973), a series of gruesome murders with the mass murderer's trademark haunts the district. As the death toll mounts, suspect police officer Lt. William F. Kinderman is still obsessed with solving the perplexing case. Meanwhile, in the city's high-security psychiatric institution, a mysterious inmate with an uncanny resemblance to the late Father Damian Carraras emerges from his deep catatonic state, claiming to have all the answers Kinderman needs. But who is the mysterious Patient X? Is the same unholy force that tormented Regan MacNeil involved in the brutal exorcisms?
