Justin Fields has been traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers marking the end to the Fields era in Chicago. Justin Fields is my favorite Bears QB to ever play and he's was one of the most entertaining players to ever put on a Bears uniform. He did some things I have never seen a Bears QB ever do before. Whether that's magically getting out of a sack and juking three defenders or chucking bombs down field to DJ Moore for touchdowns. Unfortunately, the Fields era had to come to an end. I will always appreciate his time in Chicago and I wish him nothing but the best of luck in Pittsburgh. I hope he steals the starting job from Russell Wilson and he proves to everybody why he was picked 11th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. I also hope he proves the Bears wrong as well. I know a lot of NFL fans consider him a draft bust because he hasn't quite lived up to the hype that was placed on his shoulders. You also have to consider he wasn't drafted into a good situation either. When Fields joined the Bears they were in a transition period. Nagy gets fired after his rookie year. Khalil Mack gets traded. Matt Eberflus hired. Ryan Poles hired to replace GM Ryan Pace. It wasn't the best situation for Fields but he made the most out of it. In a Bears uniform, he became the 3rd QB in NFL history to rush for 1,000 yards in a season. He showed off his quick speed and elite athleticism every time he stepped onto the field. I'm glad he was on my team. I'm glad he was a Chicago Bear. If I had the ability to be the Bears GM and to go back and change the outcome of the 2021 NFL Draft., I wouldn't change anything. I would trade up for Fields. But anyway enough with that. I just want to say thank you Justin Fields. He will forever be a Chicago Bear.
