I spent the last eight days transforming an abandoned city park. Parque Estrella is an enchanting little park tucked into a quiet neighborhood; With it's colorful walls and shady tropical trees, it was once a place where families could gather and sit down on cute cement stumps or tables and have a movie night by projecting films onto the white blank space on the wall. The park even has a wall designated for kids to come and paint! But after time, this charming park was forgotten. Graffiti soon covered the walls and tables, the weeds grew tall, and the piles of trash grew even taller. So after walking past the park a few times with my dog, I knew I needed to do something about it. So please join me, as I embark on an eight day journey of learning how to use a Weed Wacker ; ). And remember, even the smallest act of picking up a piece of trash can make a difference in this world!
