Former US President Donald Trump is facing federal charges relating to his handling of classified documents. It's the first time a former president has been prosecuted for federal crimes.
Trump announced he's been summoned to appear at a federal court in Miami on Tuesday. While not yet confirmed by the Justice department, US media is reporting he faces at least seven charges. Investigators found a cache of sensitive government documents at Trump's residence in Florida in August. The former president says he's innocent, and has launched a fundraising appeal for his re-election campaign.
