DEEP BLUE SEA is a 45 minute documentary film that chronicles the stories of six children with special needs/disabilities. Filmed over the course of a four week intensive, DEEP BLUE SEA explores the theme of ecological intervention—a process of healing and rehabilitation that involves the active collaboration between teachers, parents and the children themselves. The film shows how even the more difficult physical challenges can be slowly overcome through patience, care and sensitive collective nurturing.
