The Apimaye hive has been in my apiary for 16 days.
I hived a swarm and things were looking good.
However, they swarmed again and left the remaining honey bees queenless.
What did they do? They made emergency queen cells.
Now the 10 frame deep brood box is too large for the number of bees occupying it.
Watch and see it goes and what the situation is.

The Apimaye Ergo with a partition installed is designed to accept 4 frames on each side. For kicks, I decided to see if I could fit 5 frames on each side and they did fit. However, I want to share that the designers of this hive state that 4 frames should be used on each side of that partition. I may still combine colonies, but we'll wait and see what they do first.
