What is your hope in? Is it in Jesus, or in your expectations? Placing your hope in Jesus is how we are called to live, but it can be easy to place hope in our own expectations instead and not even realize it. If we place our hope in our expectations, we will be tempted to blame Jesus when they fail to be met. Our hope will be lost because it is not placed in the faithful one. God is the only one who can hold our hopes and never fail us. If we hope in Him, we will find true joy and peace. Sometimes God's plans don't look like your own and your timing might not be his timing. The world will always be disappointing, and we are not spared from evil. Therefore, the only one to keep us safe is Jesus, being wrapped in his arms will bring us assurance of hope, not in our expectations, not in our circumstances, but in God. Our Savior loves us and fills us with everything we need as we trust in Him.
