Well as you may know by now, we have decided to move to Florida! Our house is already sold and now we need to find a new house to begin this new chapter.

When we upgraded our Tesla Model Y to the 7 passenger configuration, this situation is the exact reason why. On this trip, there were 3 adults, 2 children and a 65 lb dog. We packed the car full and had just enough room to make this long trip comfortable.

On the way down, we split the trip and stopped in Chattanooga to charge the Tesla Model Y overnight. After waking up, we had a full charge and were able to skip one supercharging stop, saving about 30 minutes on the trip.

To find hotels with destination chargers, use the PlugShare app to find chargers in the area, then find one that is in a hotel parking lot. Then you go to the hotels website to see if they have a room available. Be aware, you are not guaranteed that the charger will be available when you arrive.
