I suppose it could have been worse.

I don't understand what Netflix was trying to do with Sokka. I don't think Netflix knew what they were trying to do with Sokka. His "character development" in the adaptation is incredibly inconsistent and contradictory. The whole "you don't have to be a warrior" schtick makes no sense whatsoever considering he's quite literally going to war, and his actual inventive and creative side that is supposed to sit opposite his warrior side is sorely underdeveloped. I suspect Netflix wanted him to not have to be a warrior to combat "toxic masculinity" or whatever, which is just plain dumb.

Also, that flashback scene can eat my farts.
