Mardi Gras! Galveston is the third-largest Mardi Gras in the United States, annually drawing more than 350,000 people to Galveston Island -- a one-hour drive from Houston. The celebration dates back to 1867 and was revived in 1985 by Galveston-born preservationist George P. Mitchell.

Organized by Yaga's Entertainment, Mardi Gras! Galveston 2022 featured 22 parades, 22 concerts and 3 million beads+ over two weekends (Feb. 18-20, 25-27) in the historic Galveston Downtown Entertainment District on The Strand and Mechanic Street. #mardigras #galveston #texas
