This applies to many dodge trucks starting from 2013 Ram 1500 to 2019 Ram and more. I’ve seen thousands of posts about these generation Rams Power Steering suddenly going out. If you ask anyone at Dodge they’ll tell you that you need a $1500 new rack and pinion. They’ll tell you that the EPS’s are unserviceable. I didn’t film disassembly so do this before starting the rest of this video
1)Remove front passenger side truck tire.
2)Remove the cap off of the housing that your passenger side tie rod goes into which is held on by 6-7 round head Allen bolts.
3)Unthread tie rod from the silver spiral shaped rod coming out of the rack and pinion end. A big black nut that is made onto the tie rod needs to be turned left to disconnect tie rod from rack. Now watch the video and do everything in reverse order. Easy peasy
