Tiff Needell gets nostalgic with a supercar icon - the Ferrari F50.
After the success of Ferrari's F40 supercar, the Ferrari F50 was billed as an F1 car for the road, using a race-proven V12 engine and cutting edge engineering. But it was always considered a bit of a difficult second album, and often lived in the shadow of its groundbreaking predecessor.
Tiff reminisces about a drag race with Jeremy Clarkson for BBC Top Gear and explores whether the F50 deserves it's reputation. Finding out in the process what a classic 512 horsepower supercar feels like on a wet Scottish b-road, and if lives up to Alain Prost's 641 Formula 1 car it shares so many similarities with.
