I reached out to everyone on the youtube and sofabaton fb group with no answer.
I contacted sofabaton and got a response within a week timeframe. I was struggling with the app where whenever I change the inputs on each of the activities, it changes it all for the activities.

Generally, TV, Projector, AV receiver, and other devices must complete Source configuration before setting input in Activity. Please refer to the article Source Configuration or the Video Tutorial to check whether your device has been configured.

Suppose your device’s Activity has already set input but cannot switch the input when starting the Activity from the off state. In that case, it may be because the device takes too long to power on and cannot respond to the Activity command to switch the input in time. To solve this issue, you need to follow these steps:

Open Sofabaton App – Activity – Edit – Startup settings – Add a delay– Move the delay to the commands between the startup and switch input – Save

I decided to delete everything - devices and activities and start from fresh. After adding all the devices, I had to complete the power modes and test the marantz inputs to make sure everything was working before adding the activities. that worked for me!
