When it comes to overpowered living entities in the Marvel Universe, Galactus is sure to top the list. Being a cosmic entity Galactus is nearly nigh-omnipotent and has also attained the title “Devour of worlds” owing to his necessity to feed on inhabited planets. He is mostly placed as one of the prime adversaries of the Fantastic Four but also faced quite many other Marvel heroes. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby Galactus made his first comic book appearance in the ‘ Fantastic Four’ issue 48. In Tim Story’s 2005 version of Fantastic Four, we got to see Silver Surfer who was then a herald of Galactus carry the message of his arrival to Earth. He mentions that Galactus has set his eyes on Earth and would soon come to destroy it. Although the movie had mixed reviews it sure gave us an idea of how the mighty cosmic being operates.
