Will an engine start and run with the spark plug ground electrodes removed. Watch and find out !. WARNING: This test is for experimental purposes only. I am not recommending that you try this on your own vehicle as it may cause serious or irreparable damage to your engine or catalytic converter. NOTE: Gapping the spark plugs to your engine’s specifications is important. If the gap is incorrectly set, it can lead to engine issues. The engine may experience lack of power, misfiring, spark plug fouling, increased spark plug wear and poor fuel economy. Too small of a gap may give too weak of a spark to complete the combustion process within the engine but too wide of a gap can lead to the spark plug not firing correctly, causing misfires at higher speeds.
