Batman: Arkham Origins stands on the shoulders of giants. They're not my words, they're the words of its developer - WB Montreal. It's more Batman, Batman with multiplayer, a younger, rawer, hungrier Batman lost in a cloak of vengeance. It has the most interesting character writing in the franchise, some setpieces that are some of Arkham's best, and some really cool ideas. In a vacuum, it's a belter of a video game, but it didn't release in a vacuum. It was pumped out while Warner Bros waited for Rocksteady to finish working on Arkham Knight.

But even if that's the case, it returned Batman to our screens with a vengeance. So let's look at it together.
