This recipe is from Claire Saffitz's Dessert Person and is the perfect sweet-savory addition to any menu. Sablé cookies originated in France and give you a rich, buttery flavor much like shortbread. Claire's addition of sage in her recipe adds more depth to the flavor that was a huge hit.

The cookies are easy to make and you can store the dough in the freezer for over a month! Simply move the dough to the fridge for 24hours to thaw and then you can slide/bake as many as you need.
