Many of the services and supports that we rely on in Delaware County are funded by federal dollars that are determined by the population count during the Census. If you drive on our roads or bridges, have called our police or emergency services, or receive SNAP or other benefits, these and other services are funded by the federal dollars allocated through the Census.

By completing the Census, you are ensuring that we receive not only the correct amount of federal funding, but also that your town, our county, and our state receive the correct number of representative seats in local, state, and national governmental bodies. Make sure you and everyone you know are counted, as the 2020 Census count determines not only this year, but the next 10 years of federal funding and representation.

How to complete the Census:
• the Census can be completed online NOW at my2020Census.gov
• the list of phone numbers to complete the Census in more languages can be found here: https://2020census.gov/…/ways-to-r…/r...
• paper copies of the Census will be mailed this month (April)

Already completed your census and want to do more? Check in (respecting social distancing, of course) with neighbors, friends, and relatives that may need assistance. Those without computer access or limited mail service may be unaware of the census and/or how to fill it out. These are often the individuals that benefit the most from federal funding, so it is critical that they are counted.
