Im a 17yo entrepreneur and own a pressure washing business! These are some tips I know!
Note- I do not have the most beautiful setup but this is what I have used to make houses look very nice!
Tips and Info to know!
1. Pressure washers, make sure to target a
4gallon machine as this will make your surface cleaner much more efficient as well as reduce the length of work. This will allow you to complete jobs quickly!
2. Pump sprayer will be used for highly concentrated chemicals for oil and rust removal!
3. A good rule a thumb for your surface cleaner would be 4inches for ever gallon your machine can run! Hence 4 gallons machine= 16inch surface cleaner. Turbo nozzle, make sure to get the proper nozzle for its Psi! Example- 4400 psi needs a turbo nozzle that can handle
4500-6000psi otherwise it may seep through the nozzle due to the pressure.
4. Soft washing will allow you to run in a straight path and complete jobs quickly, without chemical you would leave striping and this can be very negative for your job! There are methods to avoid striping such as using your surface cleaner in a circular motion but this takes more time and has to be done properly or it can leave marks too!
4. Suggested length for hose is 100ft alongside the hose for your gun which should be at least 50ft so you shouldn't face any issues with length. 5. You can get an extended gun to get more range to your soft wash svstem and an angled attachment to avoid getting wet and dirty!
6. You should only use a turbo nozzle and
45 degree tip, other tips can be harmful to homes.
7. When getting a pressure washer you should do your first oil change after 50 hours of use and then you can do the next ones after 100 hours of use or less to keep it maintained!
8. These prices do not include the price of a vehicle and other materials that vehicle would need such as hose reels and such!
