UPDATE !!! : FIRMWARE UPDATED

LG finally released a firmware update to specifically address the issues with the full array local dimming algo. All issues I talked about in this video including the pre and post blooming issue when an image is displayed is fixed. The monitor no longer flickers in those same videos I saw it previously. Incredible firmware update and at this point I can fully recommend this monitor if you're looking for an absolutely stunning 4K display for gaming or productivity work. You can get this firmware update through LGs OnScreen Control software. You will be prompted to update after connecting the included USB cable to the monitor and PC, and then opening the software.

Note: You HAVE to watch this video in HDR to enjoy the HDR experience. If you watch this in SDR or on an SDR monitor it will not look correct or at least won't show the brightness or colors.

Hey all, today were checking out LG's brand new 4K 160Hz HDR 1000 Mini LED Gaming monitor with 1560 dimming zones. The monitor is HDR 1000 VESA certified and a 1ms response time. Incredibly bright HDR gaming experience. The monitor is also 12-bit with 2x HDMI 48gbps and 1x DP 1.4a with DSC. It also has 2x7w speakers which sound really good for a monitor, totally useable for desktop or console gaming use.

The monitor is using A-TW (Advanced True Wide) polarizer on this panel, which is designed to help reduce glow when viewing dark/black content from an angle. This is what I was talking about when discussing IPS glow. This tech is awesome.
